I am sure glad it sunny out today because I was just told I had to ride my bike to school today. I know it is summer and I should be home in bed yet, but being during the school year driving lessons were higher, and I was not going to be 16 until August. My mom decided to wait and get the cheap driving lessons during the summer. I have dreamed since school has been out of getting a new car, but I have to have a job first to save up enough money. I can’t get a job unless I have a car and I can’t get a car unless I have those cheap driving lessons.

Well I wonder what we are going to learn in class today. I thought driving lessons was where you learned to drive and was actually driving a car, but we were told to bring notebooks and pencils or pens to class every day that we meet.

Well class is starting so I had better pay attention. I opened up the book and the first thing I saw was the letters HGV. I have never see those letters together and I sure have not seen what a hgv driver is. Reading the chapter I learned that hgv driver is a heavy goods vehicle. I wonder if that is like an army truck that is hauling a lot of artillery or close to something like that. I wonder if it could be like an 18-wheeler hauling a load of cars or anything close to that. Some times I wonder if I would have taken this course during school, if it would be different than taking the cheap driving lessons.

I really wish we could skip this chapter but it is in the book, so I know it is important to know. I would just as soon as learn about how to change a flat tire, or know what a motor is, or how to put oil in the new car or old one. Those are the basic things we need to know and how to use our turn signals, how to park, how to switch lanes, and things like that.

Who knows, we still have 8 weeks left of this course, and over half of the book left, so maybe sometime soon we all will get behind a steering wheel of a car. I guess for now, I will just listen in class and take notes as I was instructed to do. She did mention we would be having a test over this book and it was best to take notes on what was discussed in class.

I guess in time to come, I will see if these cheap driving lessons will pay off for me.
