Over the summer holidays I worked as a delivery boy. Every morning I would jump up on my bike and cycle on down to the local post office, where I would pick up the morning's deliveries. Then I would cycle to all sorts of strange houses that I didn't even know were part of my village, giving them the weirdest of deliveries. One man ordered a broom, which was difficult to cycle with, and another wanted a pack of twelve energy saving light bulbs!

Anyway, I really enjoyed the job, so when the end of summer came I decided that I would quit school and take it up full time. The delivery people were delighted, but there simply were not enough packages to be delivered to my village for me to be taken on full time. No, if I felt alright about it they were going to ship me off to the nearest city so that I could move packages around there. But first of all I was going to have top get a car or a van, and more importantly, learn to drive...

Because of this I, after only three months' worth of driving, was able to have my first go at the theory test. What can I say: I didn't pass the first time I did it, but I didn't exactly fail either. I was only two or three marks out of a hundred and fifty away from passing. So, as was to be guessed, I passed no problem the second time that I took the test.

I now deliver parcels all around the place. I am hoping for a promotion soon because I heard rumours that one would be coming my way. And all thanks to the fact that I learnt how to drive!
